Wanted: a place
One person. Naked. No retreat into shame.
I am Achim Mentzen, 64, a bus driver from the Upper Rhine. I want to be visible as a living sculpture: sleeping, eating, showering, talking, completely naked, without hiding. For this I am looking for a space.
What I offer
Free of charge for the host. Full media and documentation rights included.
What I need
- A space that cannot be seen into from outside
- Controlled access, 18+ only
- A place to withdraw and a contact person on site
Gallery, art space, studio, theatre, university, association, castle, hall, private rooms. I am open to curation and sharpening of the concept by the venue.
What it is about
About shame that was taught to us. About a body that is nothing special and can be shown precisely for that reason. And about an experiment: I hand over decisions about my visibility and document what that does to me.
Clear rules are part of the project: every encounter with others happens only with their own, current consent. Boundaries and consent
