I do not hide my body to spare others their ideas of shame.
I am Achim Mentzen.
My body is not a mistake. Nudity is not a secret. Visibility is a conscious decision.
I accept that a visible body attracts looks. I accept questions. I accept irritation. I accept that people interpret my body in different ways.
What I do not give away is the decision about my own body.
I make myself visible without turning it into an obligation for others.
I do not need an anonymous art persona to show my body.
Living Sculpture / Transparency Project makes exactly this tension its subject: body and gaze. Nudity and shame. The public and self-determination. Visibility and boundary.

The work
The manifesto belongs to a performance project whose central format is a seven-day continuous live performance. Sleeping, eating, personal care, conversations and everyday life can become part of the work within the agreed frame.
The performance is agreed as art and not offered as a sexual service. Consent, house rights, safety, legal requirements and clear boundaries remain part of every concrete production.

The body may be
completely visible.
The naked body is not treated as something that must always be hidden. It can be visible and tangible without automatically taking on a sexual meaning.
Living Sculpture radicalises this idea through 24/7 presence over seven days: visibility is not a brief moment but a real part of everyday life.
